This project was part of the course "Branding & Product Strategy" of the master "Strategic Product Design. Together with three other students, we finished this assignment within a weeks time.


An external branding company Cartils, provided us with this case and asked us to respond to the trend of speers, which is short for spirits mixed with beers. After analyzing Grolsch as a company and analyzing the spirits market, we came up with the combination of "Jenever" a dutch gin variant with Grolsch ( a company with a lot of dutch heritage).


The intention was to position this speer as a premium class, hence the hints of copper in the design and an aluminum wrapped top part.
